Clearance — Benge 5X ML Silver Trumpet — Serial #32946

This Benge 5X medium-large-bore trumpet is offered as a clearance horn. It isn’t all original, and it has some cosmetic wear, but it plays very well and has excellent compression.

The pistons are not original to this trumpet. The previous owner replaced them with Benge pistons from the same model and bore size and had a valve alignment performed. The replacement pistons show some surface wear, which is not uncommon on Benge trumpets, but compression is excellent.

I’ve included a playing video so you can hear the horn and see the compression demonstration. I don’t typically include playing videos—for reasons that will become apparent when you watch this one. 😉

• Plating wear on the bottom valve caps and a few other small areas of silver wear.
• Missing third-slide stop rod.
• A repairable dent in the bell bow, visible in the photos.
• The bell flare itself is in excellent condition.

While it isn’t all original, in my opinion this horn still plays better than a typical student or “intermediate” trumpet. It would make a great horn for a student or a useful backup for an experienced player.

No case or mouthpiece is included. It will be packed and shipped securely.

Serial number: 32946. Please feel free to reach out with questions.
