Flip Oaks Wild Thing Trumpet

The Flip Oakes Wild Thing has a well-earned reputation of delivering a huge, full-bodied sound with projection to spare. They don't come up for sale very often and when they do, they go fast! It has wide 5" yellow brass bell and open .468" bore, the horn plays with remarkable freedom—big, broad, and commanding—yet retains balance and control when you want to dial it back.

The silver plate is in excellent condition throughout. No evidence of any repair work, dents, or red rot—this is a clean, well-cared-for instrument.

It ships with two interchangeable main tuning slides:

• Dual bore (.468"/.456") – for added efficiency and ease
• Straight bore (.468") – for maximum openness and resonance

Valves are smooth and responsive, with excellent compression. The original Flip Oakes case is included and in great condition.
